Originals
Another One For Prez

This is a tune about the great lester young. It's a swinging Bb blues in the in the style of those early Count Basie records.

Get Me To The Church

This is the arrangement for the track you can hear playing on this website. It's a rowdy little number about going to church.

He's Smilin' Too

A dark and moody piece based on Saint James Infirmary Blues but with an Ellington feel to it.

My Sugar and Me

One of the many love songs I have written over the years. This one likens my baby to a sweet honey bee. Feel good and swinging vibe.

Saving All My Love

Not to be confused with Whitney Houston's hit song this tune was composed by Ben Panucci and Justin Fermino and arranged in a Count Basie style to suit the band.

The Untimely Demise of Don Flamenco

Based on a  computer game character from Mike Tyson's Punch Out , this song narrates the demise of the formibable Don Flemenco. This chart is a trombone feature and also utilises spagetti western guitar stylings.

You Win Some, You Lose Some

Another hard swinging instrumental.

Struttin' Pretty

This is the Basement Big Band's theme song. Perfect for grabbing the attention of a noisy audience. Followed by slow swinging 4/4 for you to have a chat over.

The Bull Roarer

I wrote this song for a special performance with a idol and mentor of mine only to find out that he couldn't read music. Since then it has become a rollicking Gene Krupa jungle stomp.

Arrangements
Gee Baby, Ain't I good To You

An arrangement of Don Redman's hit song augmented to fit a jazz orchestra.

Nightmare

Artie Shaw's nightmare is an evocative pieice. This arrangement includes a transcription of his incredible clarinet solo (substitute solo part for alto saxophone available).

The Sun is Gonna Shine Again

Ray Charles' soulful classic has been arranged for male vocal. Big singing range required.

You've Got To Go

Louis Jordan and the tympany five have been expanded to big band. This chart is written as a band vocal feature but can also be performed as a solo vocal arrangement.
